Nasreen Akhter
Founding Director of Ash Hill Solicitors. Probate, wills and estate planning specialist with a calm, compassionate approach.
A trusted guide through life's most sensitive matters
Nasreen Akhter is the founding director of Ash Hill Solicitors and a private client solicitor with over a decade of experience. She qualified in 2014, and has dedicated her career to helping individuals and families navigate probate, wills, powers of attorney and estate planning with clarity and care.
Clients often come to Nasreen at difficult moments: after a bereavement, while planning for later life, or when supporting an elderly relative. What sets her apart is the way she combines deep legal expertise with genuine warmth, taking the time to listen before she advises. She is fully accredited and listed on the
Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) register.
Where Nasreen excels
She is highly competent in probate and estate administration, including complex contested matters and estates with an international element. Earlier in her career she worked in Dubai, advising high net worth clients on estate planning, an experience that shaped her ability to handle complex circumstances with confidence.
She takes particular pride in her work with elderly clients and their families, an area where patience, sensitivity and clear communication matter as much as legal precision. Whether drafting a will, administering an estate or putting protections in place for a loved one, her goal is always the same: to lift the burden from her clients' shoulders.
Nasreen is proficient in English as well as Urdu, Punjabi and Hindi, allowing her to support clients across Harrow and London's diverse communities in the language they are most comfortable with.
Accredited mediator
Alongside her work as a solicitor, Nasreen is an accredited civil and commercial mediator registered with the CMC. Drawing on her experience in wills, probate and family matters, she helps parties identify common ground and resolve disputes without the cost and strain of going to court.
Beyond the office
Nasreen is a dedicated mum and chairs Happy Orphans Worldwide, a charity supporting vulnerable children across the globe. She is also an active member of the BNI Business Network, where she connects with and supports other local professionals. Recently, she completed a leadership training program, further sharpening the communication skills she brings to every client relationship.
